In true TIGI® Fashion, the copyright©olour™ Creative Team wowed the crowd at this year’s BTC Color Show in Nashville on September 8-9. Blueberry-toned orchids, mocha and sable, steel lavender and shell peach were all part of the high fashion palette presented by Team TIGI®. TIGI® Global Technical Creative Director Christel Lundqvist, US Technical Director Richy Kandasamy and TIGI® Learning Lab Technical Director Robert Banyaga showed off edge-of-the-trends looks with the brand new TIGI® Gloss shades, all enhanced by state-of-the-art, signature TIGI® cuts and styling. The team demonstrated techniques on stage with looks inspired by the new TIGI® Masterbrand Collection. The TIGI® Booth was quite the buzz, with a fully stocked Colour Bar and TIGI® Masterbrand-inspired models gracing the booth throughout each day. The team ended this successful show on a high note unveiling a gorgeous shimmering orchid on the radiant TIGI® finale model.

In being a company that’s by hairdressers for hairdressers, we must experiment and create unconventional ideas and combinations with our products. The latest TIGI® Collection is the biggest production Anthony Mascolo and TIGI® have undertaken. Months of research, model castings, preparation and organization, went on before the shoot finally took place. Members of the TIGI® International Creative Team flew in from the USA and Italy, to join the UK team members, in the creation of the multi-brand production marking the run-up to TIGI® World Release. The objective of the shoot was to cover each of the key brands: Bed Head®, Catwalk®, S-factor™ and B for Men™. The powerful use of TIGI® copyright©olour™ strengthened and helped define the key looks. “It became very clear to me, that when you take a group of people, some are going to be Bed Head® people, others will be Catwalk® in their style choice and some will be S-factor™. What draws them together is colour,” says Anthony. “To create a collection that encompassed the imagery of all of our brands, we used the current trend for monochromatic clothes as the link. The TIGI® US Catwalk® Session Team made quite an impression at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Global Creative Director, Nick Irwin, and the Creative Team executed unique, fashion-forward hairstyles for Ruffian, Mara Hoffman, Jonathan Simkhai, Alice + Olivia, Alon Livne and The Blonds Spring 2014 collections. Ruffian’s muse for his inspiration was based on Lady Caroline Blackwood. The hairstyle had soft, flowing waves for that second day, slept on set hair. Mara Hoffman took a different approach with her Bohemian braids, often been referred to as “Willie Nelson braids”, to enhance her bright colors and vibrant prints on the runway. Jonathan Simkai went for a sleek, polished and expensive straight hair look, while Alice + Olivia took on a more chignon hairstyle. Alon Livne created a bold statement with his street-style, urban braids that complimented his futuristic vibe, and to top it all off, The Blonds took the stage with their avant-garde, pulled tight top knot fantasy look.
