CELEBRATING THE WINDRUSH GENERATION
The Windrush Generation is named after the ship HMT Empire Windrush that arrived at Tilbury Docks in 1948, carrying more than 800 passengers from the Caribbean who were called to the UK to help rebuild after WW2.
One of the biggest inspirations behind some of our designs is The Windrush Generation, so we created this artwork to celebrate the significant contributions that the Windrush Generation and their descendants have made to Britain – in politics, music, sport, art, transport, healthcare and more. Their hard work, resilience, and determination has paved the way for generations of Black British Caribbeans to follow.
This card is perfect for celebrating Windrush Day which happens annually on the 22nd June, where we celebrate the Windrush Generation & the anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush arriving in Britain.

A WINDOW INTO...
Although similar, each Caribbean island has its own culture, history, and natural features. These cards celebrate this with beautiful designs. The back of each card provides a brief introduction to the theme of the design.

GREETING CARD PACKAGING
We understand that different retailers have different requirements when it comes to packaging. So, we have three options for greeting card packaging.
Nested
Envelope is nested inside greeting card. Great for retailers who want to use zero packaging.
Nested with Sticker
Envelope is nested inside greeting card & kept together with a low tack card catch sticker. Note: there is a slight risk of sticker leaving a mark, or pulling off ink when removed if left on display or in storage for too long. We sticker cards to order to mitigate this, but please keep this in mind, as we do not accept returns for this issue after 14 days.
Compostable Bag
Greeting card & envelope are packaged inside a clear compostable bag. A good alternative to regular plastic cello if you need the card to be protected from dirt (etc.) in store.
