About the collection The idea of the collection is to introduce expectations of life through the tragic story of a woman. Shakespeare’s Ophelia served as inspiration. Her innocence, confusion and infatuation wanted to connect with the traditional woman. We all have some expectations from traditional women, like she is meant to be born “pure”, innocent, beautiful and gentle, and above all this is what we expect from her and to serve in reproduction. Otherwise, Ophelia is somehow a victim of her own enthusiasm, confusion, naivety, and lovesickness. She becomes a victim of confusion, a victim of love and her expectations. Ophelia dies by accident, drowning in the water, with a wreath of flowers on her head (that symbolize her beauty, inocense, naivity...). Collection represents experiment in textures, materials, and colors. I want to combine all elements in one unit - the story of a woman. I want to present a woman as a tragic, fragile, muse (of a poet), that she was born and died in her beauty and splendor. I found motives for my collection in nature. Motives are composed from herbs and mystical animals, their color and texture. This collection represents an experiment and a personal challenge. I want to represent inside of woman, not only through her body and clothes.
