Vison and Mission

Education today needs a different approach. Gwen

With global Education 3000 we aim to create a global social and ecological impact by offering an alternative, more proactive, holistic and sustainable approach to the education system. We inspire parents, teachers, coaches and business people. We give them a step-by- step plan that shows in a straightforward manner how to experience more joy and less stress, and ultimately how to become a truly inspirational role model for the next generation.

The economy and the market are changing rapidly because of the digital revolution. People need to take advantage of these changes to make life, business and education more simpler and more efficient. Traditional education still uses structures and methods from the industrial revolution, but people back then had other needs and priorities. Now we need to focus on autonomy, mastery and purpose at all levels, from an ecological point of view.

If we want to have a more balanced economy, happier people who love their jobs, and happier children who love to go to school without stress and doubts about themselves, then we need to start with a new education system. We need to reflect upon our priorities and ask ourselves where we want to be within ten years from now.

Children are the seeds of the future! We need to give them a safe and natural environment, in order to allow them to grow and to create more balance in our world and ensure they can enjoy and embrace a better future. We need to create a new vision of education. The digital revolution calls urgently for another approach.

We plan to build our “Butterflywise” school: a unique and more constructive approach to a school building, aiming to create a complete natural and sup-

Briony

We help children to be authentic, free, and well educated. We guide them to become aware of their own talents and inner dreams. We give them the space to discover, give shape to, and radiate these dreams. We enable them to set a firm grounding in their lives so that they can actively use their talent and potential to cocreate a better world.

portive environment for children, teachers and parents. In this way we can develop the new education, as a contribution to making the world a better place, and to laying the foundations that will inspire an attainable gold standard for the citizens of a future modern green economy.

We will grow this project internationally. In this way the benefits of the New Education can have a global impact. We have set up strategic alliances with organisations that have already accumulated valuable knowledge and experience, to enable the joint and pioneering creation of opportunities that will allow the development of a more socially responsible and green economy.

Butterflywise school building

A self-sufficient strategy Butterflywise is not just a school. It is also a business model designed to make a global impact. The centre of our project will be a school building in Antwerp, Belgium. It will be a monument to green and social education, and an example for a green economy.

The school building is a place where everybody can learn about the “Butterflywise” system and about our green economic business development proposition. It is an environment where nature and technology meet each other. A paperless school supports sustainability so that the infrastructure is in line with the essence of a natural environment, coupled with the beneficial of the technological evolution. People can visit the school for inspiration and to experience live study cases.

A long-term vision We have a long-term vision and a business plan that will generate revenue by creating physical and online products and services. A real-estate strategic plan of growth and development will help us to expand the project in the international market. We are working in a combined effort that merges in one proposition the green, health and information sectors. This is a good combination of strategic components for anyone wanting to be involved, to position itself on a solid footing in the current economic environment. Our supporters, consultants and strategic allies will also have a big impact on the positioning of our concept in the market.

What are the wider implications of this project? We create new jobs and because of our international approach we will have visitors from all over the world. The unique architecture of the building will attract a lot of tourists. We also create physical and online products and services to teach and to instruct people in the “Butterflywise” education system. The building also provides space for seminars and conferences.

For the development of this project we need to collect 14 million euro. The funds will be raised through traditional fund-raising and investment. The school as such needs sponsors irrespective of the business proposition. Social investors can invest in the business part of the project. Our goal is to become self-sufficient at all levels.

Forestry-wise initiative

Inspired by the Butterflywise Education System: “The ultimate goal is to stimulate mankind of the future into a creative enterprise in balance with themselves (authenticity) and in balance with the environment (society, other living creatures, and Mother Nature)”.

What do we mean by “Forestry-wise” initiative? It means an unreserved commitment as part of our future generations’ integral education principles to raise consciousness about the delicate state of the planet. You and I emit CO2 in our daily life when we turn on the light, watch the TV, use the computer, boil the kettle- the list is endless. We are all responsible for C02 emissions! So, the “Forestry-wise” initiative aims not only to create awareness but also to take effective action as a tangible and holistic tool of environmental responsibility, through the creation of investment opportunities in sustainable land use with returns from environmental services including forestry conservation and carbon emissions reductions and offsets, which provide the sustainable economics to support socially responsible land based programmes in the developing world.

How does it work? You might want to do something for the planet, but you don’t because: • you lack knowledge and experience in this field. • you lack time. • You live in the city. • You are in a completely different line of business.

So we will do the following for you: • Apply our knowledge and experience. • Be your technical partner. • Take care of the land-based forestry initiative of your choice from beginning to end. • Keep you up to date.

List of Initiatives: • Sponsor the conservation of existing forests through reforestation: the “Plant a Tree” Programme. • Sponsor the adoption of a new tree: the “Adopt a Tree” Programme. • “Forestry Carbon Trading”: Acquisition and sales of duly issued and registered forestry carbon credits with a preference for verified carbon units originated in forests in the developing world, where both carbon and social standards have been complied with. • Carbon footprint calculation and offset.

Why Trees? • They capture the CO2 we emit every day. • They regulate water. • They provide housing for fauna.

Why timber? • Timber captures CO2 whilst it lives, even if it is planted with the purpose of being cut down for trading. When the tree is cut down the carbon is captured in the wood. • Timber management prevents illegal logging. Cultivating trees for wood allows us to continue consuming it without touching virgin forests, natural reserves, or rivers basins. • Timber is a renewable, responsible and profitable product.

Butterflywise architecture and school building

Project design: Construction of the first Butterflywise school in Belgium, and renovation of the old youth hostel building in Antwerp.

Developed by “Solar Spirit”: http://www.solarspirit.be and Henk Van Aels, architect

Location: Antwerp, in the middle op parc Mastvest The building must comply with the ethics and energy that Butterflywise wants to convey. We have created an innovative building, with optimum inspiration in which the positive development of people can occur. A nice environment will always add value to happiness, which creates productivity and ultimately results. The building has to be a beautiful work of art and serve as a model of the energy transition towards 100 % sustainability. The architecture and design will make maximum use of butterfly brain organic architecture, in order to allow every student, supervisor and visitor to align themselves into a state of relaxation and harmony for optimal and conscious action during the learning process.
