My name is Terrence Curtis "T.C." Liggins. I have always been described as a free-flowing individual with an electrifying personality; dancing to my own beat. Even before I was able to enjoy the scene myself, at the age of 14, I worked as a club promoter in Chicago. Having my hands in everything, from the venue to the marketing, I noticed my passion for creating an experience for consumers that matched my personality.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I am currently a graduating, Marketing Communication student at Columbia College Chicago. I am confident, goal-orientated, and determined. I am eager to start a career in special events and promotions after graduating. Through my body of work that I am producing at Columbia College, I have further developed my skills and passion in creating a positive experience within every opportunity for my consumers.

Utilizing the Power of Dance

Attract student and media attention

Engage the Community online and in-Person

Encourage Supporter and Donor action

This campaign was a project for my Social Change Communications class. This course focused on using emerging communication strategies and techniques to promote social causes and issues. We looked at the inextricable link between public opinion and communication. Through analyses of social causes and issues, we explored how those practices created an impact in areas such as social welfare, health, energy, gender, and multiculturalism. With Hubbard Street Dance Chicago as a client, we were given the challenge of choosing a social issue that the company would stand behind and create a campaign for it. The campaign was presented to and judged by Zachary Whittenburg, Manager of Communications for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. This campaign won 1st place; beating our four (4) competitors.Â

Strategically planned a series of Method sponsored Foam Parties across the nation.

Redesigned and repurposed Method brand laundry truck to fit the use of current campaign.

We had to choose a lesser known brand/product and compose an ad campaign for it. My contribution was the idea of repurposing the Method Laundry Truck, College Care Packages, and Method sponsored Foam Parties.
