AZEK® Deck Technical Bulletin: Surface Altering Products Some products such as sun-block and insect repellent may contain chemicals that could alter the surface of AZEK Deck, formerly known as Procell Decking. Plasticizing solvents or other ingredients that may be found in these types of products could result in browning, whitening, and/or the appearance of a stain. These types of products may have a precaution on their label against the use of these products on or near plastic. Since AZEK Deck is made from cellular PVC, a form of plastic, it may be affected by these products. Check product labels and consult with the manufacturer as to product compatibility with plastic materials, such as AZEK Deck, prior to use on or near AZEK Deck.

Please contact AZEK Customer Service Department with any additional questions or concerns at customerservicedeck@azek.com or toll free at (877) ASK-AZEK (275-2935).

BULLETIN

Since there are many different formulas for these types of products, the resulting effects and ability to remove them vary. Use of household cleaners can sometimes reduce or remove the appearance of these effects. As is the case with any product or substance requiring removal, the necessary surface cleaning should take place as soon as possible for best results.
