Cutting and Drilling Tips for Installation of Fiberon Horizon Decking
Procedures
Cutting: When cutting Fiberon Horizon Decking, remember to use a carbide-tipped blade with a minimum of 24 teeth. A frayed edge may result from dull blades or blades fewer than 24 teeth. Cut edges showing a frayed edge cut can be quickly scraped away with a course sanding block (i.e. 40-60 grit), or a utility knife blade facing backwards and dragged across the area.
Drilling: Traditional twist drill bits are recommended for drilling holes through boards. Spade-style drill bits can cause damage to surface when drilling in hot weather.
