Celery is a powerful diuretic. Ginger stimulates digestion, circulation, and sweating. Put these three healing ingredients together and you have a recipe made in detox heaven!

1 apple 2 celery ribs 1 cup escarole

½-inch piece ginger, peeled ½ cup nut milk (page 41) or seed milk (page 53) 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds

Juice the first four ingredients. Add the nut or seed milkand flaxseeds, and stir well with a spoon.

Boost the energetic power of this shake by adding hemp and maca powders to the blend. You can also add one teaspoon of chia seeds to each glass to literally swipe those toxins out of your body. Stir them in with a spoon and let the seeds sit for five to ten minutes, to give them enough time to absorb some water and grow.
