Ever wonder what it would be like to not have a voice? What if your voice was to be taken away? Time for youth in Sacramento is dedicated to empower youth to let our voices be heard by learning about local, state, and federal government. We are a nonpartisan club. We focus on developing leadership skills and becoming a united community. Expect to hear from us soon…

Two people who do not speak the same language are not able to communicate with each other. Eventually they will have to learn a common language to understand each other. Similarly, if we want to create change we need to learn how to express ourselves to politicians so they know we have a voice and care about our communities. Why should I care?
y o u th
2 0 1 0 Because politics mostly governs our lives but we have the freedom to be involved. Ghandi once said, “Where there is injustice I believe in fighting.”
We must fight for what we believe. We have to do our part for future generations and ourselves. Sincerely,
Zaira and Jessica

"Young people should be at the forefront of global change and innovation. Empowered, they can be key agents for development and peace. If, however, they are left on society's margins, all of us will be impoverished. Let us ensure that all young people have every opportunity to participate fully in the lives of their societies."-- Kofi Annan
