Katy Bowen-Roberts (Artistic Director) has been working since February planning this year’s Yellowpoint Christmas Spectacular. She and James Mark (Arranger) have been writing and creating the show together and it is now in its final edits. Cast auditions were held in Vancouver in the spring and over 100 talented performers were seen.
What better way to celebrate the season than with tickets to this dazzling spectacle. It’s fast moving and colorful. It will take you on an emotional journey through a wide variety of music and dance from rock & roll to
Broadway, jazz and classical, tap, interwoven with touching readings and stories.
This year’s singing and dancing extravaganza includes musical medleys of well-known songs by Van Morrison, Dolly Parton, Neil Diamond and Taylor Swift as well favourites from the musical Grease, a nostalgia set, a collection of James Bond movie hits, Bing Crosby’s classic ‘White Christmas’ and many more classical hits and Christmas favourites.
The show is a celebration of music, dance, lights and decorations. Now in its 16th season, it has become a holiday tradition for many across
Vancouver Island. Tickets went on sale on August 7th and have been selling quickly at all three venues. The season opens in Courtenay at the Sid Williams Theatre (Dec 9-11) before it heads to Victoria to the McPherson Playhouse (Dec 14 & 15) and from there to Nanaimo at The Port Theatre (Dec 17-22). Visit yellowpointchristmasspectacular.ca for ticket links and further information.
This show is in popular demand. A favourite among bus tour groups, staff parties, family and friend reunions, and festive celebrations. Book early so you don’t miss this exciting holiday event!
This Christmas, First & Last Chance invites you to capture the magic of the season with not one, but two festive craft shows at the Mary Winspear Centre! With over 80 curated exhibitors, both shows will feature the latest in fashion, home décor, unique gifts, and holiday wares. It’s the perfect way to spend time with family and friends, soaking up the seasonal atmosphere while checking off everyone on your shopping list— and maybe even finding a treat for yourself!
Exciting Giveaways
Be the lucky chosen one to receive a $200 Vendor Shopping Spree, with one giveaway happening each day or one of the many hourly gift bag give-aways, filled with special treats and handcrafted goodies from our talented vendors.

VIDEA is a non-profit organization that strengthens the environment where youth and communities globally have access to the education, skills and support necessary
to take feminist leadership in development solutions to gender inequality, the climate crisis, Indigenous and human rights violations, and injustice. We are a women’s organization working to create the conditions where the voices of those who identify as women, girls, gender-diverse and 2SLGBTQ+, and folks with additional barriers are brought to the centre of conversations.
VIDEA’s work is led by women, First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth, youth with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+ folks, and those with lived experience of the issues we work on.
We strongly believe in the power of community connections for global change, and this event is no exception. For over 20 years,
VIDEA’s annual fair has brought together socially and justiceconscious folks to shop locally, internationally, and ethically! Last year was our first year back, and it was so special that we can’t wait to do it again and showcase more of the incredible talent in our communities.
In line with our organizational values, VIDEA doesn’t charge vendors to sell at this event.
