Newchief for local policing
The Newcastle Local Policing Team (LPT)has welcomed anew Commander to its ranks.

Commander and Detective Chief Inspector John Owen, has over 20 years experience within Staffordshire Police and has taken up the role afteravaried career across several different departments including working in Criminal Investigations (CID), Counter Terrorism and Integrated Offender Management.
Speaking of his new role, John said: Im really excited to be taking up the role of Commander for theBorough and meeting partners and communities. I think the communities are clear in what they want from us; to respond quickly when they need us, to offer a quality of service that officerswould expect for their familiesand to be in and around those causing criminality and dealing with them in the most effective manner.
