True Community Leader Honored For Leadership & Integrity Realty Network Group’s President and Managing Broker, Alice Vanston, was recently honored by the Greater Scranton Board of REALTORS® (GSBR) with its Lifetime Achievement Award for years of outstanding service to the Board, the local real estate industry and the Northeastern Pennsylvania community. On May 24, 2012, Vanston was presented this prestigious award at the Board’s Annual Awards Evening Reception, which took place at Fiorelli’s Plaza in Peckville, PA. This special award is presented to a member of the Greater Scranton Board of REALTORS® whose accomplishments, professional experience and wisdom have made a significant impact on the field of real estate within the region. Alice’s longstanding commitment to her clients and colleagues over the years was another reason she was the favorite to receive the GSBR’s inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award. Her character and pioneering spirit over the past three decades have certainly earned her the admiration of her peers. Alice continues to impact others. As she will tell you, “Nothing makes me happier than to know my clients are completely satisfied with their real estate purchase.” It is in her conviction you realize the secret of this industry is to connect buyers and sellers in a seamless fashion. The real estate transaction, one of the largest many people will ever make, is also an investment in happiness.

Local Real Estate Community Help Support 2012 L.I.U. Field Day Approximately 60 members of the local Real Estate Community recently gathered to volunteer for the 2012 L.I.U. Field Day, held on May 24th at The Wyoming Valley West Football Stadium in Kingston. Students with special needs from all over Luzerne County gathered to participate in a day of recreation, fun and games. Among many recreational activities, students were also able to participate in events such as the 50 YD Dash, the 100 YD Walk, the Standing Long Jump and the Softball Throw. Sponsors from the local Real Estate Community included Atlas Realty, Classic Properties, Lewith and Freeman, Terrana Law, the Mortgage Bankers Association, The Greater W-B Board of Realtors, and McCabe Mortgage Group.
