“Absolutely Halloween” 6 p.m., through October 29 Join the Santa Monica Playhouse for magical, musical and mysterious fun. “Absolutely Halloween” is the story of a young girl named Candy who learns lessons about love, life, laughter and sugar from a variety of characters who are destined to save Halloween. teach their dogs new tricks just in time for Halloween, this course at Wallis Annenberg PetSpace will help strengthen the bond between pets and their owners with Halloweenthemed tricks. Tricks they will learn include begging for a treat, playing dead, zombie crawl and “Are you scared?” where dogs learn to cover their eyes. Each week of this workshop (October 17 and October 24) will include unique tricks, so guests are welcome to sign up for both sessions. Silicon Valley of LA (Playa Vista) Tour, 7 to 9:30 p.m. Playa Vista is known as Silicon Valley South due to companies like Google and YouTube calling it home. This tour will show guests the outside of the legendary aircraft hangar that was used by Hughes Aircraft Company and later Boeing and movie studios for filming the movies “Titanic” and “Independence Day.” Google has transformed the aircraft hangars into a creative office space. The tour will start at Google’s offices then make its
