Open Studio Artist’s Stories My interest in photography started at an early age. My dad was stationed in Germany with the Army. Most summers, he would take the family on r o a d trips exploring the many sites including castles along the rivers, beautiful lakes below the Alps, ancient cities, and countrysides dotted with farms. The Vicente Castro House The Aptos Blue is the newest housing project in Aptos. It is located across the street from Rancho Del Mar and behind the Community Foundation building on Aptos Rancho Road. Nestled among the 40-unit project is the historic home of Vicente Castro. The Castro House is the second oldest house in Aptos and was once the centerpiece of the 5.5-acre parcel of land.
