What you really want is a menu that reflects your personality and can also accommodate every guest’s favorites. Couples looking for a simpler way to wine and dine their guests should consider a variety of food bars – it’s the perfect way to offer fine dining while giving everyone a choice.

BEVERAGES

CHAMPAGNE Champagne is great by itself, but mix in fresh fruit or even popsicles and it takes on a whole new flavor! CHARCUTERIE Lots of meat. Prime rib, chicken, pork roast, lamb, etc. Add fixings such as horseradish, applesauce, chutney, mint jelly, and you have an elegant meat bar for your carnivorous guests!

BBQ If your reception is going to take place outside it is almost mandatory that you include a barbecue station. Someone can be in charge and barbecue sausages, ribs, veggies, certain fruits, there are all kinds of barbecue friendly foods! And the sauces…everything works!

PASTA Put out a variety of pastas, tureens of tasty sauces, veggies, meats, and shredded cheese. Let your guests combine their favorites and create a personalized dinner. You can even put out a big pan of mac and cheese!

SEAFOOD Oysters are always a favorite. Some love them plain, and some need lemon, hot sauce, or horseradish. For non-oyster lovers put out cold shrimp and salmon. Make sure and include the goodies – cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and a yummy dill sauce.

BLOODY MARY Celery, pickles, horseradish, olives, jalapenos, hot sauce, buffalo wings, sliders, cilantro, bacon, peppers… the sides are endless!

BEER Breweries are everywhere these days. Check with local craft brewers to see if they cater weddings. Or buy kegs from a few of your favorites and serve flights to your guests.

MARGARITA Let them choose their flavor, salt or no salt, and garnish. Add tequila shot supplies for a real good time.

HOT CHOCOLATE Warm up your friends and family with white, milk, and dark chocolate varieties. Garnish with peppermint sticks, marshmallows, and whipped cream!

COFFEE Provide sweeteners, cream, mocha powder, and cinnamon. For a kick don’t forget the Irish Cream, Whiskey, and Kahlua!
