Welcome to Your Fair! A Message from the Logan County Fair Board President and Members
Dear fair family and friends, As your fair board president, I’d like to personally, welcome you to the 2019 Logan County Fair. We, the fair board and I, have been working together ever since the conclusion of the 2018 fair, to make this year’s fair another one to remember. We faced several challenges last year with the weather dropping a record amount of rain, the week of the fair, causing parking to be a nightmare and some major electrical problems, which we were able to come together and overcome with the help of OG&E, replacing the blown transformer, Pride Amusements and River Valley Ingredients for the use of generators to keep everything electrical rolling until OG&E could get us back on line. We are looking at a few changes again this year so, as each of you read through this year’s Fair book, you will see a few changes and additions. Please read closely, in

the areas of which you choose to be a part of and make sure you note the changes that are to take place this year. There will be new things added and maybe a few things taken out from years past. We are looking forward to having Pride Amusements back, as our carnival entertainment, again this year. They did an awesome job last year with entertainment despite the bad weather we were dealt. I am looking forward to what they have to offer us this year if, we can get mother nature to deal us a fair hand and let us see some clear sky that week. Finally, I’d like to thank all our volunteers, sponsors and contributors, who all, make this fair possible. If it weren’t for the support from each one of you, this whole week would not be possible. Ride With The Pride Arm Bands Every Night
ENTERTAINMENT WITH PRIDE There’s a reason for carnival people
There’s a reason for carnival people who face the rains, storms, heat and drought, Who work so hard all day and night, Traveling weekends with no rest in sight. Sometimes I wonder who gives us the strength To put up with the things I mentioned above, It must be God’s hand that gives us a lift. Don I say it can’t be, For the reasons are here for you to see. Is it because we take care of our own And give them a plot, Hiring the people no one cares about, Or, is it because we bring joy to you, In the hills, the country, and the cities too? Or, that we help to buy those big, red trucks Firemen use to save your homes and lives, you folks? Because we help the needy, the helpless, The cancer, heart and paralysis And many more funds we raise for you? Many hospitals and churches we help to support
Plus the little leagues we help to equip, you Know, And the many more I will mention below. The Lions Club, Exchange and Optimists, naming just a few, Yes, the Chamber of Commerce and the Jaycees too. War veterans and legions, their homes we help build, But the proudest of all are fairs we support, To increase the crops, to improve them more. To better the herds and the poultry flocks. And many more things that benefit folks. For the bigger the crops, The larger the herds, Is what gives us the abundance That we have in reserve. Yes, we are the helping hands of God. So, give them respect and a smile, not a frown, Whenever a carnival comes to town. Anthony Santillo-1978 Join our Facebook page to receive updates on times and prices!
