Welcome

Welcome to 2011 MyBusiness Media Kit, which explains each of the My Business products. We invite you to read it at your leisure and hope it helps you to understand how to reach our ambitious audience. As you read, you won’t find us boasting we’re the “leading” brand or the “best” small business magazine. You’ll make up your own mind about that. But you will find an honest representation of what we stand for, what we’re trying to achieve and the products we create.

My Business products My Business connects ambitious business owners to valuable sources of information, insight and opinion, through four products. • A monthly magazine with a circulation of 40,000 • A vibrant website (Relaunch February 2011) • Events • An annual awards program

Our guiding principles My Business believes size doesn’t matter, but ambition rules. Ambition is critical because not every business wants to grow. This means the argument about where small business ends, big business starts and the qualities of the two are moot. My Business is therefore interested in business that do want to grow—ambitious business people—and we try to help them reach their goals.

Sharing insights and stories “Inspiration” is a term that gets used a lot in the business world. My Business believes inspiration makes you want to get into business. Our products share stories and insights that describe how real businesses have done things well, so that our audience deserves the chance to learn from the experiences of their peers and replicate those experiences themselves. We also believe that when our audience turn to us for information, we should reward their ambition and their investment of time with exclusive, actionable articles and events that they can put to immediate use. Everything we do at My Business tries to help business people reach their goals.
