Academic: My academic pedagogues emphasize engagement through collaborative active learning that enable students to build new knowledge within small collaborative communities using tools from today's virtual landscape. Research: Committed to my post-doc research in chronic pain management for older adult in long term care. Long Term Care: Over 25 years of nursing experience, with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding state and federal regulatory mandates in long term care. As a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, I have a working knowledge of CMS initiatives and QIS survey compliance, as well as staying current with on-going mandates in nursing homes( E.g. roll out corporate compliance programs, effort to reduce off label use of psychotropic medications, and reduce re hospitalizations).
