Are you familiar with the old conventional wisdom ‘the early bird gets the worm’? Here at ArtSound, we know better: the second mouse gets the cheese. If you’re not big, then you have to be smart. In other words, we are not pretentious enough to think that our products have to be the ﬁrst on the market. Nor do we feel compelled to change the world. Our products just have to offer solutions! ArtSound is Belgian. By way of R&D and market research, each product is developed from conception to launch. What’s more, as a user you can always count on extra advice and prompt service after purchase.

Admittedly, we made things easy for ourselves. By listening carefully to what you - our customers - expect from us, over the years we have increased the size of our range eight times over. Thanks to your ideas. We can summarise all of these products using one common denominator: SMART. And this is where our mission statement comes from: ‘Smart Solutions in Audio’. In other words: at ArtSound, you will ﬁnd a loudspeaker for any setting, in any style or colour or for any surroundings or application. ArtSound has amplifiers and many other accessories too. Simple and functional. In short, SMART. ArtSound is a touch cocky, with a healthy dose of self-conﬁdence, sincere and proper, and also important: just your size and affordable.

inwall loudspeakers nowhere does it sound so good as at home There is an unwritten law that hi-fi lovers everywhere will happily endorse: loudspeakers must be first and foremost inconspicuous. They should enhance the fullest qualities of the music, without distortion and without the loudspeaker itself being in the limelight. A loudspeaker with a strong, bold sound can sometimes mislead you: first, they may give you that ‘wow’ feeling. But after a while, once your ears have tired of this, you start to crave steady and relaxed listening pleasure.

Which one? In choosing a built-in or other loudspeaker, it is wise to base your choice on four criteria: • the type of housing • the loudspeaker components or so-called “woofers and tweeters” • the way the components are mounted • the cross-over ﬁlter The housing or loudspeaker cabinet must be as sturdy as possible so as to avoid undesirable vibrations. With onwall speakers, the cabinet (in a false ceiling, for example) is a deciding factor. With built-in speakers, this is the basket or metal mounting materials. You can’t always choose the structure of a cabinet, but with the basket or mounting materials for a built-in speaker, you do have a choice. The diameter and choice of materials are crucial when it comes to loudspeaker components: there are dozens of models available in aluminium, titanium, polycarbonate and similar materials. The size and power of the underlying magnet also plays a role here. Since loudspeaker components must be able to move forward and backward at a certain speed, they need relatively flexible mounting materials. The trick is to supply them with a mounting system that is not too stiff and not too loose, in harmony with the woofer. Finally, the cross-over filter must be able to split the incoming sound signals so that they can be sent to the woofer (mid-range and low frequencies) and tweeter (high frequencies), without any distortion occurring in the process.

Paint your tunes! No matter how you look at it, built-in loudspeakers must delight your ears without your eyes noticing. After all, you choose a built-in loudspeaker so that you can integrate it into your interior as discreetly as possible. The only part that remains visible is the front. You can easily paint over the front (grills and frames) of these speakers so that they ‘become one’ with the wall or the ceiling. In addition, nowadays a large number of models come with black grills, given, for example, as an optional extra for the speakers.

With a nearly frameless grill measuring 1 millimetre, and a thickness of just under 5 millimetres, it breaks with all contemporary standards. Perfect corners without rounded edges guarantee a powerful, sleek look. The extremely fine mesh on the grill results in a perfect combination of modern design and permeability.

... and inside. Perfection is also omnipresent when it comes to the inside of Intiimi. Behind the grill is a curved front plate engraving with an elegant style. Every loudspeaker in the Intiimi line-up has a unique tone controller. The customised titanium driver with a powerful neodymium magnet and a patented® mounting system may be adjusted to suit your taste. The loudspeakers are even finished with gold-plated connections to ensure minimum resistance. Good sound filtration is crucial, and Intiimi is no exception.

Happi Water repellent and minimalistic speaker Happi is a Finnish word which means open, oxygen. The Happi loudspeakers can be used both indoors and outdoors. This design series has an extremely thin chassis. Thanks to the built-in magnets the sleek design of the grille is repeated throughout. All speakers are sufficiently powerful to fill acoustically charged spaces, such as your kitchen, bathroom or veranda, with the music you want. ArtSound has designed this Happi series to incorporate a special woofer and a swivel tweeter, controlled by a special filter. This means the sound they generate is much purer than other models, without losing their warmth.

Waterproof All in one Is a waterproof loudspeaker just what you’re looking for? In areas like a swimming pool or outdoors, the relative humidity is often extreme or temperatures fluctuate strongly. Splashproof doesn’t do the job. That’s why we have these waterproof inwall loudspeakers in our range. These speakers have been developed to fit for moist rooms and above all open-air environments. Each component is moistureresistant and will not be influenced by high or low temperatures. Waterproof loudspeakers have a wider scatter differential, which carries the sound further and is suitable for background music. In this range we have two round inwall loudspeakers and one rectangular variant available.  Note: for use indoors we generally recommend loudspeakers from the Happi / X-tended series.

The Genius series is contemporary, but when developing it we strove for a timeless, austere concept. The Tutto2.1 is a great set. You can quite easily create a fantastic sound using the patented filters and the finely tuned satellites. Note however, that the satellites cannot be used separately, seeing as these have been tuned to the filters. Nevertheless, you can order extras (Tutto2) to add units to the existing set. In this way you can give a passageway or large space the sound it deserves.

Father swears by classical librettos. Mother brightens up to a French chanson. Son revels in hard guitars, while his sister plays the latest teen sensation from America to death. With just one radio, families like that are in a musical tangle.

With a central multi-room system, everyone can relax and enjoy their music without disturbing others. Multi-room gets a new dimension: 足multi-control; unsurpassed possibilities for creating your own network.

The solution is called multiroom. Thanks to an audio distribution system, you can set up your home so that a pre-defined room is coupled to a predefined sort of music. So everyone comes into their own and enjoys themselves, without other people being bothered by that melody, or lack of one. There are two possibilities for anyone who wants music in their home. Either you can install an amplifier unit (loudspeaker) in every room to which music can be streamed (e.g. from your smartphone) in a decentralised fashion; or you can opt for a centralised, integrated system. This can be integrated for example, in your domotics system or adapted to the nodes in your house. To this end, ArtSound has developed the Art8.8 or ART5.4. With this single centralised ART amplifier you can now have music wherever and whenever you want without having to upturn your home. New to this concept is the fact that you can integrate playlists with any smartphone, tablet, PC, or even via specially developed touchscreens, or you can operate the two inbuilt radios. The ART can be integrated into your domotics system or your (home) network and allows you to listen to MP3 music on the USB stick.
