Home Service Originally formed from John Tam’s Albion Band in the 1980’s, Home Service’s inaugural years saw them headline Cambridge Folk and Cropedy Festivals and release three highly coveted albums, one of which included their music from the National Theatre’s highly acclaimed production The Mysteries.

John Tam’s socially aware songs sound as potent now as they did twenty-five years ago and the re-union of this classic band has once again seen tours to major venues and festivals as well as winning the BBC R2 Folk Awards Best Live Act. £18 (concessions £16)

Faust Sung in English Gounod’s magical and tuneful masterpiece is based on one of the great works of European literature, Goethe’s story of Faust, who sells his soul to the Devil. The opera has many wellknown musical highlights including The Jewel Song and The Soldiers’ Chorus. Gladiator It’s not about the bike – it’s the dream. Before the Tour de France and before Sir Bradley Wiggins, there was Arthur Linton from Aberdare. A world cycling champion in 1895 who took on the best and left behind not only the first drug scandal, but also the first racing bike – The Gladiator. Fast forward to modern day and we meet 18 year old Jimmy, who stumbles upon the Gladiator in his garage – along with the ghost of trainer Choppy Warburton, who has returned in search of ‘honour and dignity’. Unfortunately for Jimmy this involves embarking on the epic Bordeaux to Paris bike race – without ever leaving his garage. This brand new production is an inspiring, funny and uplifting drama. John Muir: A Rhapsody in Green Who was this man who explored the forests and glaciers of the Pacific North West and inspired environmental movements all over the world? He saved the life of his friend, the Reverend Samuel Hall Young, on a mountaintop in Alaska and rescued Young’s dog, a plucky wee terrier called Stickeen, from a glacier crevasse. In this moving new drama, Sam Young remembers the extraordinary life and times of his friend, John Muir. If you are familiar with Mike Maran’s theatrical work (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, A Funny Valentine, Travels with a Donkey….) you’ll love this. De Temps Antan Formed at a time when all three were members of La Bottine Souriante, Eric Beaudry, Andre Brunet and Pierre-Luc Dupuis have been exploring and performing time-honoured melodies from the stomping grounds of Quebec’s musical past since 2003. There is access to the theatre via a lift located in the market hall. There are 4 wheelchair spaces available in the auditorium for most events, and an infra red hearing assistance system.

We have a toilet facility for disabled people close to the auditorium. The foyer is not accessible to those in wheelchairs, but a refreshment tray service is available from our stewards.

A free ticket is available for an assistant accompanying a disabled person to the theatre. There is no admission charge for children under the age of 3, except when the theatre has been hired.

You can pay instantly using all major credit and debit cards. Tickets can be sent directly to your home for a 70p postage and handling charge, or held for you at the Box Office.
