I am fascinated with the portrait of a garment, created with fiber from the earth, woven together and sculpted with thread and needle. It fills my heart with joy. tg
AW19 Inspired by organic threads and woven textiles with old personalties. This collection evokes a warm and dramatic character defined by color hues in amethyst, charcoal, eggplant and amber. Growing up in Africa with a love for nature, TG’s collections always embody a raw, worn and textured character. These garments interact with each other, with silk organza slips punctuating the collection in beautiful hues. These tissue silks are garment washed and allowed to take on their own character. It’s like wearing layers of stained glass. All these unexpected details create intrigue and imagination. Influenced by a personal rich culture of design, Tina injects couture craftsmanship into an everyday collection. Garments are reinterpreted for a new customer looking for avant-garde and contemporary, but elegant. Our garments are hand made in our studio and workshop with traditional techniques, characteristic details and carefully curated materials. Presenting a timeless expression of modern femininity.

Portrait
My inspiration comes from fiber & woven textiles. I draft a silhouette and vision for the fabric. As I cut into the cloth, it is with the purpose of capturing it’s essence. Working with natural fibers is a vital component for me. For one, as it is from the Earth, it will change and transition into new forms of itself. Secondly, because I believe in sustainability as the norm. Using tools of the trade, I stitch to form shapes and embellish with the unexpected. Finishing with a dye bath, or wash, the end result is a piece with its own character. My intension is to reveal the soul of a garment making it that much more special. ONE OF A KIND COUTURE PIECES Can be ordered. We suggest a minimum of 3 special garments which are created at the artists discretion. They are hand sewn and embellished with stitches and vintage findings. These are designed to fit into your order of garments according to color and content. Ask for more information!

All materials and methods are carefully considered. We focus on organically produced materials and actively send unneeded waste to respective recycling experts, including cloth. We use natural fibers, organic dyes and conscious processes. We choose natural materials and elements in our jewelry, found objects and vintage fibers. We are celebrating the beauty of our world and strive to live and encourage a healthy, all natural sustainable lifestyle. We celebrate talented craftsmanship with passion and a commitment to the products we produce. Each piece is carefully considered from inception, through the materials we use and methods we utilize in production. We are proud to demonstrate the incredible skills and dedication of each artisan and organization within our TG family. We produce a quantity of each style, but every item is hand cut and sewn, finished and tagged by an individual. Our garments are almost one-of-a-kind in that they slightly vary from piece to piece. Our specially picked silk organza is made in France, and hand dyed with natures gifts. The process is refined and so we have an even toned fabric in solid colors. I call these silks my fragments of glass as they are layered over each other.
