Join us for a fantastic celebratory evening of new dance work either performed or created by people with a learning disability profiling the high-quality performance work being currently created in the North East. This is one of the biggest dance platforms for people with a learning disability in England and is not to be missed! GeTIN2 Sport


In the New Year we will be announcing the start date for our new course for people with a learning disability, GeTIN2Sport. GeTIN2Sport is a partnership activity with Durham University's Community Outreach team and the course will be based at Maiden Castle in Durham City, which is currently being redeveloped into a high-class fully accessible sports and leisure complex. GeTIN2Sport explores a variety of physical activities involving individual and team games in partnership and promises to be a fun, enjoyable course. About the course The course runs for 36 weeks a year split into 3 blocks of 12 weeks. It will start at the end of April 2011. It will take place on a Friday from 9.30am - 3.30pm at Maiden Castle in Durham City. There are a maximum of 16 places available. To register your interest contact Heather Downie at TIN Arts.

Durham City Junior Youth Dance Group

Durham City Junior Youth Dance Group is for young people aged 8 - 13 years old from across County Durham. It is a great way to explore contemporary dance in a fun & exciting environment. Participants can learn how to create their own moves, choreograph dances and perform alongside friends old and new! Workshop Details Day: Saturday Time: 10.00 - 11.30am Venue: Shakespeare Hall, North Road, Durham, DH1 4SQ. Price: ÂŁ4.50 In the Spring term the group will be working towards an April performance at The Gala Theatre in Durham so there has never been a better time to join in!
