TINConnect is back! Our e-newletter returns and it's full of opportunities and news. It's been a while since we sent out our TINConnect newsletter and we hope that the re-introduction of a regular monthly update by email will keep you up-to-date and informed of the many exciting things we've got going on at the moment.

New website! The new TIN Arts website is now online

Tiny TINs Dance workshops for 2-4 year olds

Tiny TIN's are creative dance workshops specially designed to cater for the youngest members of our community. These workshops introduce 2 - 4 year olds to movement with music in a fun and educational way.


It is also a chance for parents to relax and let someone else take the lead as you and your children move together in harmony. Workshop Details Day: Saturday Time: 10.00 - 11.00am Venue: All Saints Church, Carr House Drive, Newton Hall, Durham, DH1 5LT Price: £4 per session We only have limited places available so to enquire about booking a place call 0191 384 0728.

New moves in the city Durham City Junior Youth Dance Group launched

DCJYDG (Durham City Junior Youth Dance Group) is for young people aged 8 - 13 years old from across County Durham. It is a great way to explore contemporary dance in a fun & exciting environment. Participants can learn how to create their own moves, choreograph dances and perform alongside friends old and new! Workshop Details Day: Saturday Time: 10.00 - 11.30am Venue: Shakespeare Hall, North Road, Durham, DH1 4SQ. Price: £4.50 During the year there will be opportunities for the participants to perform and in previous years TIN Arts have taken groups of young people to perform at venues such as the Gala Theatre in Durham, Dance City in Newcastle and The Lamplights Arts Centre in Stanley. Last chance to join the Apprentices Work with The Flex Dance Co and learn new skills

The Flex Apprenticeship Programme is designed for people with a learning disability who wish to further their interest in dance and


would like to do so as part of a touring dance company. Benefits of the programme include:   

Regular dance classes and creative sessions Opportunities to see more dance performances Opportunities to travel nationally and perform
