A book inspired by Aesop, made by children. A book that was designed in the course of a creative workshop for children 9-12 years old held at the Onassis Cultural Centre. With Aesop's fables as a starting point the workshop was divided into five stages by six tutors. Storytelling, illustration, typography, papermaking and silkscreen printing were our bases. Through collaboration and continual, creative play, the children experimented with colours, shapes, stories, letters and printing methods to create a limited edition book with their story. "The orange-red stork" is a story about the difficulty of growing up and the acceptance of our personalities within society. This publication was enriched by the personal works of the children ranging from their own handmade paper to sketches as well as a mini booklet of photos - in chronological sequence - to remember their lessons.
