REGISTERING YOUR LEASEHOLD PROPERTY
When your holiday home purchase is complete, it is very important that you register your property with HM Land Registry, unless you are buying a caravan. The work involved in applying to purchase and register land or property is quite technical and most people employ a solicitor or licensed conveyancer to complete the process. If you are using a solicitor to act on your behalf, this will be completed for you in the process of the sale. However, if you decide not to use a solicitor, this is something that you will have to arrange within 2 weeks of completing the purchase.
