This year we’ve been incredibly proud to introduce our new series One Story, Many Voices which celebrates well-known fairy tales told from different perspectives from around the world. Our first story Cinderella of the Nile is lovingly retold by Beverley Naidoo. We're also excited to be publishing Thinker: My Puppy Poet and Me by the acclaimed African-American poet Eloise Greenfield about a young boy and his dog. The Drum is another big bang to the year - celebrating how music makes you feel and move. Following on from the success of Little Eli, we’ve added two more wordless picture books to our collection: Chalk Eagle and Caged! Our final highlight for 2018 is Anahita Teymorian’s beautiful picture book There’s Room for Everyone which so poignantly emphasises the need for more kindness in this world.

Beverley Naidoo Beverley Naidoo is the Carnegie Awardwinning author of many novels for children and young adults. Brought up during the apartheid years in South Africa, much of Beverley’s writing reflects crossing boundaries and she has set her novels in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and the UK. Beverley’s first novel, Journey to Jo’burg, was banned in South Africa until 1991 and has never been out of print in the UK since publication in 1985. It now appears in the Collins Modern Classics list at Harper Collins and is frequently used in schools.

Ehsan Abdollahi Ehsan Abdollahi is an illustrator and animator, and teaches at Tehran Art University. Ken Wilson-Max
Catell Ronca
Ken Wilson-Max was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He has illustrated and worked on more than 60 books, including the ‘Lenny’ series. Ken frequently works with children in schools, libraries and centres and also publishes a newspaper for children called Chicken!
Born in Basel, Switzerland, Catell now lives and works in Lucerne. A graduate from the Royal College of Art in London, Catell’s work is regularly recognized in Illustration Annuals. Some of her favourite things are the Swiss Alps, hand painted folk art and making ceramic tiles and objects.
