Lights on the River - December 1
The holiday spirit will sparkle in Tioga County on Friday, December 1, as historic Owego celebrates Lights on the River from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
It’s an evening of fun and merriment, live entertainment, food, shopping, holiday lights, and the evening ends with a fireworks display over the river.
12th Kiwanis Club Ornament
The Kiwanis Club of Owego is proud to present its 12th ornament featuring the Owego Strawberry Festival. It is available now and makes a great gift.
The ornament can be purchased through Van Horn Jewelers on Lake Street, or Community Bank (Owego Office). The cost is only $20 which includes a display case. Van Horn Jewelers will include, at no charge, a name and date engraving. Most of the previous ornaments are still available and include: The Court House (#1), Fireman's Statue (#2), SaSaNa Loft Monument (#3), Court Street Bridge (#4), Central Fire Station (#5), Owego Hiawatha Island (#6), OwegoApalachin School Spirit (#7), Civil War Monument (#8), River Row (#9), Lake Street (#10), and Coburn Free Library (#11). Celebrate the Season with O’Tannenbaum Holiday Showcase
The Tioga History Museum in Owego opened its 21st annual O’Tannenbaum Holiday Showcase on Saturday, November 4. You are invited to visit and bid on the more than 100 trees, wreaths, and other items up for silent auction.
The O’Tannenbaum Holiday Showcase runs through December 16 2023, Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23. For more information, call 607-6872460 or send an email to museum@tiogahisory.org.
Veterans Day 2023 at Owego VFW Owego/Tioga County’s traditional Veterans Day 2023 will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, November 11, in the Glenn A.
