News Radio WEBO Hires News & Sports Director

News Radio WEBO has a new voice on the air. The Radigan Broadcasting Group is pleased to announce the hiring of Clint Narramore as News an d Sp o rts Directo r. Clint comes to the area with experience as a News Reporter and Sports Play-by-Play Announcer. He will be responsible for managing the station’s strong local news and sports presence in the community, as well as reporting on local stories, anchoring the afternoon news, and continuing to provide the area’s most extensive live local sports coverage. Clint is excited to join the team at News Radio WEBO and says he looks forward to “working and living in such a friendly community with a great hometown feeling.” He is eager to begin broadcasting local high school sports in the Southern Tier, which will start with baseball and softball next month on WEBO. continue to host the WEBO Morning Show on a permanent basis with Lew Sauerbrey, weekdays from 6 to 9 AM. Clint will begin hosting a live afternoon show, expanding the stations live local presence from 3 to 7 PM on weekday afternoons. “Clint’s background, work ethic, drive and determination are an excellent addition to the staff,” Radigan says. “We are excited to welcome him aboard, and continue to grow as we move into our 5th year of ownership,” Radigan stated. Clint, a proud former active Marine, is a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He says that since he has moved to the area, he has been welcomed by everyone he has met. Clint is a graduate of the Ohio Center for Broadcasting where he was awarded for Excellence in Sports Broadcasting. Clint says he is excited to make Owego, and the Southern Tier his home.

Easter Egg Hunt in Apalachin

The Apalachin Lions Club will hold their 56th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, starting at 1:00 pm behind the TLC-BOCES School on Pa Ave. The children will hunt for eggs marked with certain numbers. Children who find the specially marked eggs will win prizes. Children who do not win a prize will be able to redeem their eggs for a chocolate bunny. The Apalachin Lions Club also will hold an Eye Screening. Tioga County Sheriff Dept will provide free kids ID’s. Rain date is April 23.

Tioga Downs Sixth Season - May 7 - Sept 10 Tioga Downs has announced its sixth racing season for 2011 starting on May 7 and ending on September 10. There will be 61 days of racing this season. Post time is 6:50 pm on Friday and Saturday with a Sunday post time of 1:30pm except for May 30 and July 4 with a post time of 1:30pm.
