LIFELINES
“When we encounter Christ, experience his love, and deepen our relationship with him, we become more aware of our own worth and that of others. His love for each person is cause for great joy, and growing understanding of this priceless treasure motivates us to share his love with others. Our lives are often changed by the witness of others; so too, others’ lives may be changed by our witness and authentic friendship with them.”
Dear Friends!
We celebrate today a peak moment in the life of Jesus. With his baptism begins his public life, which will be marked by ceaseless travel across the towns and villages of Palestine to proclaim the Good News he came to announce but with nowhere to lay his head and no family to support him. His father knows that for such a life he needs lots of strength, boundless energy and enthusiasm. Therefore, He declares the loving relationship that unites them. This is my beloved son…”To live our lives and fulfill our life’s mission, we need to hear every day of our lives God’s voice that calls each of us his beloved child.
~ Father Augustine

ST. BRIGID PARISH CAPITAL RENOVATION FUND
There are many areas of our churches, rectory and hall that need renovations and repairs. Many of these repairs will require a substantial outlay of funds which the parish does not have. In order to fund these repairs we have established a Capital Renovation Fund. This fund will be used for needed repairs and renovations and also be available for emergency repairs. It is our intention to develop and maintain a fund balance of $ 50,000.00 funded initially by this parish appeal. Once that goal is reached we hope to maintain a baseline $ 50,000.00 with ongoing collections under the title of Capital Renovation Fund Collection. We are open to suggestions as to how we can meet our goal and how we can keep up the bottom-line balance of the Capital Renovation Fund. In these times, we know that expenses for everyone are going up. We can put it all in God’s hands but God doesn’t sign the checks. We ask therefore for your prayers as well as your ideas regarding this endeavor. Thank you for your help making this Fund a reality. A big thank you to those who have already donated to this fund!
Please note: blue “Building Maintenance” envelopes are for day to day maintenance expenses.
