BULLETIN INFORMATION Due to light attendance at Masses last weekend and having most of the bulletins left, we only have a new bulletin cover this week and all of last weeks bulletin and inserts are inserted in it.

FINAL THOUGHTS ON EPIPHANY The Magi were studious and expectant. They were on the look-out for a sign. And when they saw what they thought was the correct sign - the star - they left everything in its pursuit. They set out in faith to follow that star wherever it led. What a great example for us.

Are we as expectant and hopeful in searching for the signs of God in our lives? Do you see the King’s star in the street person, the pregnant teenager struggling to choose life, in the justreleased inmate? Do you look for Jesus’s star in the least of our brothers and sisters, and then strive to grow closer to Jesus by doing whatever is necessary to serve their needs?

Let your New Year’s resolution be to see His star in the needs of the poor, to be like the Wise Men and do whatever it takes to pursue after their needs. Seek Him by stepping out in faith to give courageously of your time, talents, and treasure.

PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING The Pastoral Council meeting is this Wednesday at 5:00PM in the Rectory.

FINAL CONTRIBUTIONS FOR 2023 Any end of year donations for 2023 are requested to be in to the office by January 15th, 2024.

3RD ANNUAL SAINT BRIGID DANCE The Saint Brigid Dance will be held Saturday, February 3rd from 6 to 9PM at Neumann Hall. All are welcome—friends and families of all ages. Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be provided.

PARISH LOTTERY CALENDARS Parish Lottery Calendars are available in the back of our Churches. They are $ 20.00 each and run from April 1st thru December 31st, 2024. Each family is asked to take at least (5) calendars to sell. There are both packages of (5) calendars and loose (single) calendars. (Please do not break up the packages.) Please sign the calendars out on the sheet provided.

Deacon’s NOTE The main theme of today’s Scripture readings is Divine vocation – that everyone is called by God to be a witness for Christ by doing something for others with his or her life, using his or her unique gifts and blessings. Hence, today’s readings remind us of our call to become witnesses for Jesus, the Lamb of God, by leading lives of holiness and purity. Today’s Gospel also describes the call or vocation of the first apostles and challenges us to invite others to Christ by our Christian witnessing.

The lesson for us is that God often calls ordinary people, including the young, to serve within the community. Consequently, we all need guidance in discerning and responding to His will.

Listening to the call of God is to hear, understand, and accept it in word and action. Is God calling me today for a special mission like Samuel? What is He saying to me? Am I really listening?

FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION VIA THE WEINBERG FOOD BANK THIS Tuesday, January 16th, the Food Pantry will be at Little Meadows United Methodist Church from 12Noon to 2:00PM and 5-6PM. ANNUAL CHILI COOK—OFF Annual Chili Cook-Off to be held Saturday, January 20, from 4pm to 5:30pm at Little Meadows United Methodist Church. Bring a crockpot of your favorite red, white, hot, mild, beef, chicken, venison, veggie-whatever is your best-and be judged by the rest (who attend).

Winner will be awarded the coveted 'Chili Boss'. If you don't want to make a chili, just come be a judge. All are welcome. It's sure to be a fun time. All judging is done anonymously.
