Dear Friends! The wise men (and women) coming from the East represent all the peoples on the face of the earth. So Jesus is revealed not only as "the infant king of the Jews", but as Lord of the whole earth. This is the full unveiling (epiphany) of the mystery. The wise men (and women) fell to their knees in adoration, and offered him royal tribute. They stand for all who are ready to break out of their routine and comfort zone in order to go in search of what they yearn for. They saw the star and steadily followed it. The people in Jerusalem did not. What star am I being called to follow this year? What gifts from my treasure chest will I offer to him in service of his mission? ~ Father Augustine RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS RCIA Classes begin THIS Thursday, January 9th, at 6:00PM in the Rectory. Anyone who would like to attend RCIA as a refresher course or to learn more about their faith is also welcome to attend.
