LIFELINES

“O God our Creator… through the power and working of your Holy Spirit, you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world, bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel to every corner of society.”

~ United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, “Prayer for Religious Liberty”

Dear Friends,

“The truth is not always beautiful,” that’s why the Prophet Ezekiel is told that he will face rejection of his message. Ezekiel’s mission was to speak the truth despite apathy and resistance. And also St. Paul speaks about his mission of preaching God’s word despite a torn in his flesh. He teaches us that we don’t have to be perfect to be instruments of God. We see how Jesus is rejected by the people of his hometown. But he went forward. He calls us not to give up speaking the truth. Like Ezekiel, we are not called to be popular, like St. Paul, we are not called to be problem-free, like the Lord Himself, we are not called to be accepted by those nearest us. But we are called to be faithful to God’s love in our lives.

ADORATION HELP IS NEEDED THERE (2) OPEN HOURS TO FILL!!!

We are looking for substitutes. Can you help out once a month? Can you help every once in a while? Please let Rosalynd know. This way you aren’t scheduled every week—you are only scheduled when you are available.
