Fayre Oaks High-Flyer Evening Sale It is always a delight for us to have the opportunity of choosing from such a great selection of quality ponies for the High-Flyer. Even though I know we will disappoint some when they are not selected.
This year, again, it has been very difficult to choose what we believe to be the right ponies for the evening’s event. We do, however, hope that the ponies that we put before you will give prospective buyers a great opportunity of sourcing the best ponies available for auction this autumn. There will, of course, be ponies in the main Fayre Oaks catalogue that will also be of the highest standard. But, for one reason or another, they were not put forward for the High- Flyer. It is, in my opinion, the only sale of its kind where such fantastic ponies may be purchased by auction.
The High-Flyer Evening is now so well established as part of the Fayre Oaks event that it is becoming, we hope, an evening to be remembered. Dinner will be served on the balcony of the Sales Arena. Tables are still available so if you would like to reserve your place to savour the atmosphere and good food from the balcony, the cost this year has been kept at ÂŁ30. Please book as soon as possible as tickets are going quickly. Once more this year, as well as the ponies to be offered in the High-Flyer catalogue, there are some interesting lots to start off the evening and, none no more so, than the full set of Stud Books. I believe it is only the second time that a full set has been offered by auction in the history of the Welsh Pony & Cob Stud Book. The Evening Sale will commence at approx 6.30pm with dinner being served at the end of the Sale. Drinks will be available during the Sale to be served at the dining tables. Please note that only those who have reserved a dining table will be allowed on the balcony area. As always the usual Fayre Oaks party will take place at the end of the auction in and around the ground floor of the Sales Arena. We at Brightwells are again looking forward with great excitement to the whole weekend and to seeing you there.

True LR being welsh with a pretty head, good length of rein, substantial body, plenty of bone, excellent conformation, extravagant movement. Most amazing temperament, easy to do, goes on a long lead; a natural outline with a lovely way of going. Shown two seasons, always Champion in good company (except for one 2nd). Half brother to Ysselvliedts Nanique a big winner winning many Championships including HOYS Finalist, Ch LR RIHS, Ch BSPS Champs, Ch RW, Winner of the National Brynseion LR final etc. In the right hands he could follow in Nanique’s footsteps. Sadly our own daughter is too small. A genuine pony also competed successfully in young handler, always happy to give, no vices.

Sire: EYARTH TOMAHAWK 33925 (GBR) by PENNWOOD MILAN 27509 (GBR) Dam: W.P-B.R. 13005 Bryncadnant Sian Mai (GBR) by BAYDR (A.H.S.B.) out of 75299 Friars Nesta (GBR) by FRIARS SPECULATOR 18658 (GBR) This exceptional gelding has an amazing temperament, and is always a pleasure to do, both in and out of the stable. 100% bombproof in heavy traffic, and loves to hack out alone or in company. He was shown with a great deal of success in 2010 in both Welsh Part Bred and show hunter pony classes, but has not been shown this year due to other commitments. He handles excitable situations well, and loves being in the limelight. Some of his 2010 winnings include: 1st NPS area Winter Show, 2nd SHP NPS Spring Festival, Reserve Champion WPBR Welsh Performance Show, 2nd SHP and 1st WPBR Cothi Bridge, Reserve Champion Aberystwyth, Reserve Champion, Ceredigion WPCS Summer Show, Reserve Champion Cardigan, Reserve Champion WPBR, Pembrokeshire County and Reserve Champion WPBR National Welsh Show.
