Crazy camera work!
Whether it’s extreme close ups, heavenly shots from above, or point of view shots out of a grave or car trunk, Tarantino loves to play with camera angles. Expect to see at least one quick zoom intro, or at least a 360 setting shot. And, of course, feet. Whether it’s a tracking shot, dancing, or wiggling one’s big toe, Tarantino will probably film a few feet for his newest movie.
And, Finally, Tarantino Himself
He likes to cast himself just as much as he likes Samuel L Jackson or Brad Pitt (who is rumored to have been considered to work on this newest film).
Regardless of how the film eventually goes on to play out on the big screen, with Charles Manson’s death on Sunday making headlines, there’s never been a better time to let a script leak. Now... Where’s my Kill Bill Vol. 3?
TARANTINO’S NINTH MOVIE In the aftermath of the Weinstein scandal, Quentin Tarantino is now currently working on his ninth movie. A number of studios including Warner Bros. seemed eager to work with Tarantino, but he ended up going with Sony for this film. he script has since been leaked and it’s pretty interesting. Those who say they’re read it report that the movie is set in 1960’s Hollywood with a storyline entangled with the Manson murders. Maybe he’s out to rewrite history like he did in his film nglourius Basterds, or maybe the inclusion of the cult is just a pop culture reference. At this point, few know the truth. It’s hard to speculate about what exactly is going on in Tarantino’s head, but here are a few things to look out for: Slow Pacing and Long Shots
Tarantino loves to draw his movies out with dialog unrelate to the entral on i t an scenes that play out forever. He aims to humanize his characters in this manner and there’s never been a Tarantino movie lacking in excessive dialog.
An Eclectic Soundtrack
Music is a big inspiration to Tarantino. Sometimes, the music leads the scene more than the actual action does. This is because he’s been known to write scenes around a piece of music he likes.
On November 9th Lucasfilm announced that Episode VIII director Rian Johnson will be creating Star Wars’ next movie trilogy. The announcement from Lucasfilm just says that Johnson will write and direct the first installment, and that the new crop of films will be separate from the current Skywalker saga and allow Johnson to introduce new characters and lore in an unexplored area of the Star Wars universe. This is very big news of course and has brought high hopes to fans about the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi which comes out on December 15, 2017
On November 17th the movie “Justice League released to lower than lowest prediction figures, its $94 million domestic and $185 million foreign cume this weekend point to an undeniable failure of the worst degree for a picture that hoped and needed a far better critical and financial reception to justify its own existence and send a signal that the DCEU had made solid adjustments capable of delivering better results for Warner's stable of major superhero brands. The implications of these box office numbers are not just bad for the film itself, they point toward a rougher road ahead for the studio and the DCEU. If all of that wasn’t bad enough the movie received a 24% from top critics and a 40% from all critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
The three U.C.L.A. men’s basketball players who were entangled in an international incident in China that compelled President Trump to get involved admitted on Wednesday that they had shoplifted in Hangzhou. Playing without the three freshmen, U.C.L.A. won, 63-60, in Shanghai on Friday.
The Boston Celtics have won their 16th game in row. This is the longest streak since the 2008 Celtics with Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Relieved of the need to escape a large deficit until the fourth quarter last night against the Dallas Mavericks, the Celtics came back from 13 down to tie the game at the end of regulation, then won it in overtime, 110-102, to stretch their winning streak to a league-best 16. Kyrie Irving exploded for 47 points on 16-for-22 shooting, with five 3pointers. Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart were once again crucial down the stretch, the former with 22 points and the latter yet again with a series of floor-scraping hustle plays that helped turn the game. In the final seconds of the game, Tatum rebounded a Barnes miss, drew the foul and coolly hit twice from the line, this time for a 108-102 Celtics edge with 35.3 seconds left. Barnes and Ferrell both missed from downtown on the next Dallas possession, and Irving put this one to bed by hitting his free throws making it 110-102 game.
