Leaflet delivery is not available (N/A) in some areas as we use Royal Mail to deliver Discover Magazine and inserts are not accepted.
One Print Deadline for 2 Issues When we design a magazine we prepare two issues together. From the file we supply the printer produces two months in one print run by interrupting the process to change the plates of the outer pages. The outer pages (front cover, editor letter, What’s On and some advertisers) are relevant to the month while the centre pages are common for both months. This results in a quantity of month 1 delivered to Circulation A and a quantity for month 2 to Circulation B. When the copies come back from the printers, the month 1 stock is delivered immediately while the Month 2 copies are held back and delivered approximately three weeks later. Therefore, we deliver monthly. This is commonly known in the publishing industry as “split distribution”.
How does this affect you? • If you are in the common pages your advert is the same for two months. • To reach Discover’s full circulation in any edition you need to book two consecutive months. • As we deliver monthly, we quote and invoice monthly.
