My Monster Dream www.monstersuniversity.com

For copywriting class, I wrote, art directed and pitched an alternative campaign for the movie, Monsters University. The film told the story of how Mike & Sulley started out, before eventually becoming the CEOs of Monsters Inc. This campaign celebrated that journey with the message, ‘every dream begins somewhere’. By giving ‘dreamers’ a platform to share, interact and support each other’s goals, My Monster Dream and its message uses crowd sourcing to propel hopefuls into making their dreams into reality.

Microsite for uploading dreams and goals

My Monster Dream The guerilla ads feature icons that will lead to the microsite and app which allow people to upload, support and browse through people’s dreams. Rewards will be given with each goal ticked, such as MU trailers and tickets.

Gotta Have Juicy Fruit The objective for this campaign was to revamp an existing brand by giving a new spin on its current platform. Based on market research, 3 out of 5 people chew gum to kill time. From that prompt the big idea was formed- to make Juicy Fruit own boring or idle time.

Situated in places people frequently wait and stay idle. The ads will come in sets of two: “Tired of Waiting?”, followed by Juicy Fruit.

The creative strategy was then to convince idle consumers and mint gum chewers that Juicy Fruit is the best way to kill time, because it gives an enjoyable, sweet and tasteful experience. Working with the existing tagline, “Gotta Have Juicy Fruit”,the idea was revamped such that in every moment someone’s bored or waiting, they’ll think of Juicy Fruit.

To create buzz, objects will be ‘stuck’ with Juicy Fruit gum in places people are known to wait for long periods of time, such as traffic-filled streets and queing stations in malls. These objects will engage and prompt people to come up with a story on how they ended up there by sharing the #JuicyGossip.

L’Oreal Brandstorm Last 2014, I was part of a of a 3-man team that participated in an international marketing competition called L’Oreal’s Brandstorm. We had been tasked to create and market a product of our creation, as well as to ideate and execute a supporting campaign for its launch. Based on market research, male skincare was the most profitable, and we were inspired by the masculine appeal of body armour. This prompted us to create a product line called “Second Skin” with the tagline, “The best protection, in your own skin”- A product line that promises to “Maintain, Protect and Repair”.

L’Oreal Brandstorm To engage the users on social media and to encourage men to pay attention to their skin, a “doctor” personality will be introduced, educating the market on the benefits of Kiehl’s products. Emoticons, shop guides and pop up stores will also drive people to engage with the brand and visit the store. Based on Kiehl’s love of giving back and to culiminate the campaign a portion of the profits will be given to a charity of their choice. There will also be a microsite where people can look through certain advocacies that promises to “Maintain, Protect & Repair The World”, as the products promises to do so for your skin.

Relax, Enjoy, Discover To refresh DOT’s current campaign handle, “It’s More Fun in the Philippines”, a team and I conceptualized a campaign extension concept. The new campaign handle targets the three general facets of travelling. “Relax, Enjoy and Discover” the Philippines. The campaign aims to appeal to a variety of tourists and wanderlusts, showing them that “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” for a multitude of reasons.

Relax, Enjoy, Discover Materials like eco bags and customizable maps will be available to accomodate a variety of travellers and to encourage multiple trips around the Philippines.

1) Take a milk soak Start off by closing the your bathtub’s drain. Run hot water and add 2 cups of Athena milk formula into your bath. If you feel like you want a more concentrated, aromatherapeutic solution, you may add more teaspoons of formula into your bath. When filling the bath, make sure you leave enough room so that when you get in, the milk doesn’t spill over. Rest in the milk for 15-20 minutes. If you do this every other day in a week, your skin will be brighter and more radiant. Always remember to wash yourself off after the bath to remove the milky residue. 2) Create a purifying mask Nothing feels better than a moisturizing and creamy facial for tired lines and eye bags. Mix a couple of tablespoons of mixed Athena milk with a tablespoon or two of honey, lemon juice and baking soda. Thanks to Athena’s antioxidants like vitamin E, this mask will have additional purifying power. Your skin needs them as much as your body does. Apply the mixture to your face or whatever area you want to moisturize and let it stiffen. This should take about 10 to 15 minutes. When you feel like the mask has been dried out, rinse it off with warm water. Your skin should feel smoothed and refreshed. 3) Create an exfoliating mask Consider exfoliating your face every week to get rid of that top layer of skin and expose a brand new you. It’s not common knowledge that milk can actually help you achieve softer, more radiant skin! Take 1 cup of Athena milk and 3 tablespoons of

oatmeal and apply it on your skin, gently rubbing it in. The oats provide the grittiness while Athena provides the nourishment. Allow it time to dry then rinse it off with warm water, scrubbing gently. A great tip is that since you’re using Athena milk, you may store this mixture in the refrigerator and use it again later on. 4) Use a cotton ball on dark patches Just as lemon juice is said to lighten skin, the lactic acid in Athena milk is said to work in a similar manner. If you have dark patches on your skin or face, use a cotton ball and soak it in milk and apply it to the affected/darkened area. Allow it to dry overnight and then wash it off in the morning to reveal a more radiant you. 5) Use it as toner If you’re not crazy about the idea of soaking your face in a layer of milk overnight, just use it as a toner. Apply milk to your face with a saturated cotton ball, leave it on for at least 15 minutes, and rinse well. With repeated use, it can bring out your skin’s natural glow. Some say that milk lightens the skin. While it may or may not keep this in mind if you choose to use milk to tone your skin. Overuse may have results you weren’t looking for. --- Try to do these beauty treatments regularly at least once a week for better results. Use these five budgetfriendly beauty tips with Athena, and you might just have softer, more supple skin in no time.
