ABSTRACT Energy from waste heat is one of the non-conventional energy generation technique in contrast to the conventional energy generation system, energy from waste heat system(EFWHS) does spent any money for raw material it utilizes the waste heat from automobile, power generator, boilers etc,. This paper discusses the feasibility of power recovery from a low grade heat source. In this work, a thermo electric generator is used to generate the electricity from the exhaust of an automobile it produces 3.5 to 4W. This will useful in making a LED bulb to glow or recharge mobile phone, this work will be useful in the field of thermo electric generation. The principal followed in this project is seebeck effect principle. KEYWORDS: Thermoelectric Power, IC Engine, Waste Heat, Exhaust & See beck Effect

1. INTRODUCTION Electricity plays a greater role in our daily life. Among the other source of energy generation, thermo electric energy generation is easy and requires very less energy extraction equipment’s. The techniques to get energy from waste heat such as energy generation from IC engines are most popular now a days. In the present life style of people, IC

engines like bike, scooters and cars etc., are become essential, also the technical institutions are having IC engine labs. Hence trapping energy from the IC engine considered in this work. 1.1 Power Generation Due to Heat Two metal plates are joined together and heating, for purpose of producing electricity. This is called “thermo coupling method”. On heat we can use only waste heat to recover and produce electricity.

2. WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM Squander recuperation units, for example, recuperators and regenerators are one of the most broadly utilized warmth recuperation units yet for low temperature working liquids these warmth trades become incapable. In this way there is a need of a warmth recuperation unit which can work at moderately lower temperatures. Various strategies, for example, Natural Rankine cycle which changes over poor quality warmth source to power and piezoelectric generators which straightforwardly changes over misshappenings created in piezoelectric materials into power are proposed for optional warmth recuperation however confinements being their high speculation cost or high hardware weight and expanded multifaceted nature. TE gadgets then again are light weight and don't require any moving parts. Execution of TE gadgets is spoken to by a dimensionless amount known as "figure-of-merit" and indicated by "ZT". It's characterized as: α ZT = 2 λT/ϭ "is electrical conductivity of material ϭ Where, 'seekbeck coefficient of the
