ENGINEERING DESIGN NIPISTROYTEK NIPIStroyTEK, LLC, a specialized institute belonging to the group, performs engineering and R&D for pipeline welding and nondestructive testing, builds geo-infor mation systems, and designs FPC facilities. In addition, it performs full-scale engineering surveys. The institute possesses all the latest equipment neces sary to develop welding procedures, perform mechani cal and nondestructive testing, laser scanning, aerial photography, geo-radar mapping, satellite and geodetic measurements. A combined approach to experiment and production, research laboratories, and hardware and soft ware suitable for large-scale surveys and engineering, enables the institute to solve problems in an integrated manner and ensure the technical support for its clients contractors who are building large-scale oil and gas pipe lines.

TEK ENGINEERING DESIGN INSTITUTE This institute comprises a team of professionals provid ing solutions to various challenges facing the oil and gas industry including: —— comprehensive engineering surveys —— complex systems design —— planning renovation, updating and overhaul of cross country oil and gas pipelines —— design documentation technical expertise —— initial data preparation for design and surveys —— acting as general designer and field supervisor at all stages of construction —— development of standard design solutions for con struction of major pipeline transportation projects The TEK Institute possesses a developed infrastructure throughout the Russian Federation and a wide geogra phy of global presence, encompassing both Western and Eastern Europe. TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION THE OIL AND GAS WELDING CERTIFICATION CENTER The Center, another member of the TKC group, certi足 fies welders and technicians in all aspects of welding, including equipment, consumables and technologies that must be approved by Rostekhnadzor, a govern足 ment agency, and the National Welding Agency. The Center, together with Rostekhnadzor and the Na足 tional Welding Agency, plays an active role in improv足 ing the regulatory system for certification in the welding industry, consults and lends assistance in developing technical documentation for welding of various oil and gas industry facilities, with taking into consideration both Russian and international standards.

PERSONNEL TRAINING THE SPEKTR EDUCATION AND RESEARCH CENTER, AFFILIATED WITH THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, offers a full range of educational services for profession al training, re-training and professional development in welding, nondestructive testing, and techni cal diag nostics, and provides on-the-job training for the work ers to acquire skills essential to the oil and gas industry. There are 91 training programs available at the Center. Center specialists, in tandem with Russia’s national gas concern, Gazprom, developed a training program for operators of automatic ultrasonic testing equipment, which is being implemented at VNIIGAZ, Gazprom’s premier research institute. The Center, along with the Scientific Research Institute of Transport of Oil and Oil Products, train specialists and promote the use of advanced technologies for welding and automatic testing for Transneft, Russia’s state oil pipeline operator. Finally, the Center runs educational programs on qual ity management for major executives and specialists from various companies in the field.

MNPO SPEKTR Since 1986, MNPO Spektr has been the larg est developer and provider of state-of-the-art equipment for nondestructive testing in Rus sia, the world’s largest pipeline market. MANUFACTURING THE NEFTEKAMSK PIPELINE EQUIPMENT PLANT manufactures induction heating generators and coils, welding tents of all types, mobile laboratories, carriage housing and metal structures of varying degrees of complexity. There is a research and development center within the company, which works out solutions and technologies for the oil and gas industry. NZTO’s priority is production of goods from polymer and composite consumables. NZTO welding engineers, working together with our partners, developed the M-400 Vostok high-perfor mance automatic welding station, a new generation of equipment, on an entirely digital platform.

Among its notable accomplishments, the group designed and developed the Argovision AUT system for NDT of pipeline field welded joints in cooperation with specialists from Sonotron NDT of Israel. The system provides high accu racy and productivity NDT, as well as full com pliance with such major international standards as API 1104, DNV-OS-F101, ASTM 1961. The system is registered with Russian State Regis try of Measuring Systems, as well as approved and listed in the Gazprom Registry of Welding Equipment, Welding Accessories, NDT and Di agnostics Equipment and Consumables.
