The Latin American Art Festival is a free international event featuring the visual artwork of over 100 artists from Mexico, Central and South America - along with highlighting the best of Latin food, music and entertainment.

This year’s theme “Art in Industry” will showcase how artistic influence and ingenuity impacts corporations in their corporate culture, and how they integrate it into technology, product development, agriculture and design, including eco-fashion.

The Latin American Art Festival 2017 anticipates an attendance of 10,000 international festival goers. We draw our audience from near and far with attendees coming from throughout San Diego County, Los Angeles, Orange County, Tijuana, Baja and numerous parts of Mexico, Central and South America.

The Latin American Art Festival is recognized as one of the premier art shows in California. Our mission is to use art as a way to raise awareness to different cultures, promote cross-cultural exchange, and strengthen the relationships that will lead us to a better understanding of peace. Since its inaugural in 2014, LAAF has contributed more than $275,000 to the San Diego economy.


EXPERIENCE 2-DAYS OF ART, FOOD, & MUSIC The Latin American Art Festival is a family friendly festival that features Latin American artists, entertainment, music performances, a children’s creative area, and a juried fine art show that draws the participation of international artists from Latin America, representing Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Guatemala, numerous cities of Mexico and those of Hispanic descent from the United States. The festival offers art for the seasoned collector as well as the first-time buyer, and a cultural exchange found nowhere else in Southern California.

LATIN CUISINE

Our festival features some of the best Chefs of Latin cuisine. Patrons will enjoy indulging in the culinary talents of award-winning Chef Javier Plascencia, Karla Navarro and Chef Giovani Brassera. Festival goers can savor craft Mexican beer and some of the best wines from Valle de Guadalupe, BC.


ENGAGE IN OUR LATIN AMERICAN EXPERIENCE Festival artists, will have an opportunity to inter-mingle with the public and members of museums, allowing for an international exchange along with an exciting educational experience.

YOUTH WORKSHOPS Hands-on creative workshops will be provided to high school students, conducted by festival artists in  collaboration with museums and nonprofit organizations who are offering visual, media and performance art to homeless, abused and at risk youth.

ARTIST WORKSHOPS These collaborative and inter-active workshops, held over two days, are designed to educate the artist and the public on business and market development, artist statement/portfolio development and current trends, along with guidance on how to enter into the U.S. market place.

The Presenting Sponsor is the patron of our family-oriented arts festival that celebrates Hispanic culture by featuring painting, sculpture, photography, live music, traditional and contemporary dance entertainment, a children’s creative play area, beer and wine garden and being capped off with featured delectable culinary talents from internationally awarded Latin chefs. Your company will enjoy taking exclusive title ownership in presenting the festival. We will work with you to customize branding opportunities.

STAGE SPONSOR & SPECIAL ENTERTAINMENT:

The Stage Sponsor presents a wide variety of music and performance entertainment scheduled throughout the two day festival including, but not limited to: Traditional and Contemporary Dance, flamenco guitar, salsa bands, children’s symphony of Tijuana and other featured entertain, along with surprise guest entertainers. The sponsor of this event will experience high visibility including a stage banner, and mic time while enjoying in the delight of providing great entertainment for the festival goers – young and old alike.

ART IN INDUSTRY PAVILION SPONSOR:

This Pavilion will showcase 8-10 different industries demonstrating how artistic influence and ingenuity impacts corporations in their corporate culture, and how they integrate it into technology, product development, agriculture and design, including eco-fashion. Lectures conducted by industry leaders will be incorporated. The sponsor for the Pavilion will enjoy high visibility and PR/marketing opportunities for this innovative exhibit hall.

VIP RECEPTION SPONSOR:

The VIP Reception officially opens The Latin American Art Festival the evening prior to opening day. The VIP attendees have a sneak preview of the artwork that will be featured throughout the festival. This invitation-only event will be attended by honored guests, government, civic and business leaders, celebrities, and museum and gallery directors from throughout California, Baja, Mexico and other parts of Latin American. The VIP Sponsor will be the host of this event.

WINE, BEER GARDEN, & FOOD COURT:

Our LAAF Wine, Beer Garden, & Food Court provides an opportunity for our 10,000 affluent, international festival goers, to induldge in the culinary talents of some of the best Chefs of Latin cuisine, savor the taste of our craft Mexican beer, and sample some of the best wines from Valle de Guadalupe, BC. Sponsors of our Wine, Beer Garden, & Food Court will receive visibility on a banner in the sponsored area.

CHILDREN’S CREATIVE PLAY AREA SPONSOR:

The Children’s play area offers hands-on, inter-active creative play experience with an objective to bring education and awareness to the participants. Classes will be conducted by art teachers and students. Creative activities will be on-going throughout the festival. In response to the high demand, LAAF is expanding this area in 2017 to include partnering educational organizations to conduct activities. Past art activities included mural painting and paper flower making. All ages are welcome to participate. Sponsors will have a unique opportunity to become involved.

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP SPONSOR(S):

These special workshops will be conducted leading up to the opening of the festival, in partnership with San Diego museums directors, well-known artists, curators and prominent leaders within the art world.
