INTRODUCTION Opening Remarks This plan seeks to be a continuation of the work done to welcome our everchanging and growing Christian Community whilst ensuring that our core King’s identity remains vibrant and strong. With just one year to make an impact, the Monitors seek to achieve a balance in our strategy. We seek to find balance between outlining a courageous vision and setting attainable goals. We seek a balance between creating change that is uniquely ‘Monitors 2024’ yet distinctly King’s. Finally, we seek a balance between readying King’s for our uncertain modern world, whilst maintaining the tradition and heritage that is so special to our school. Contending with these tensions, we have produced the following plan. The 2024 Monitors commend this plan with great excitement, and a hope that the students and community of The King’s School will ask questions and challenge our assumptions, but above all, embrace this direction.

MEASURING OUR IMPACT Continuous Improvement We measure the success and performance of our initiatives by bringing our decisions and impact back to the school values. We are informed by student and community feedback, and the 2024 Monitors wholeheartedly value community engagement. Throughout the year, the Monitors will continue to reflect and evaluate our impact. We strive to continuously improve, exchanging our ideas and developing our leadership with a variety of like-minded schools.

Conclusion King’s is special because our community cares about each other, the school, and the world. It is our aim to use that care to advance our school in Academic Excellence, Character Development, and Christian Community by fostering our school values, commitment to empathy, and search for continuous improvement. In doing so, we are also passionate about building upon and strengthening the sense of belonging and empowerment that students feel throughout their relationship with the school. It is our intention that this communal attitude, grounded in humility and compassion, will motivate boys to seek acts of service for the betterment of others, as is fundamental to the mission and purpose of the school.
