Edwards Lane is a specialised curtain manufacturer. Amity Smart, owner & curtain maker, wanted a logo that was simple, elegant & ultimately reflected her femininity & style. maverick created a look that included the fluidity of fabric with a touch of Am’s favourite hue - violet, to produce a beautiful brand.
Equilaw re-branded a well respected & successful Hunter Valley law firm, adopting a new name to reflect their main body of clientele - the equine industry. However, they did not want the logo to necessarily reflect ‘horses’ as they continued to service the many aspects of practicing law. The look was to be highly individual and not of a typical ‘conservative’ take. With law being many shades of grey, maverick’s approach was to feature the ‘e’ of Equilaw in many shades of the corporate green favoured by the firm. The result is a many faceted, contemporary, clean and unique brand that fits the company well.
Boland Travel is an established travel agent tailoring the wants and needs of both the experienced and novice traveller. When re-branding, Debbie Smith wanted an easily identifiable icon to reflect that world class operation of an Australian travel agent. The logo is a very recognisable symbol for global travel.
When Rebecca Cribbin & Martin Blencowe wanted a re-branding for their successful real estate agency, they brought with them gusto, enthusiasm and uniqueness. With Rebecca driving the all girl sales team, she wanted a look that captured the essence of what all girls want when they think of ‘home’. maverick interpreted that to mean the white picket fence and a Southern Highlands garden to match. The new branding was a fresh approach to an industry where conservatism and moderation were the trademarks. The result was well received & added a splash of flamboyance on signage & promo cars.
Gibralar Bowral is a luxury hotel, day spa & golf course is beautiful Bowral, in NSW’s Southern Highlands. The logo has evolved with the development, but from the outset was to remain elegant & simple, yet reflecting the area and the services offered at the stunning hotel. Stage one was refurbishment of the golf club and course. The logo indictaes a golf ball nestled at the base of Bowral’s high point Mt Gibraltar ... for which the hotel is named. The motif was added as the opulence of the hotel became apparent.
one mind • one body • one on one Often simplicity is the best way to tackle a logo. Jodie Illiani came to maverick with the brief that her motto ... one mind, one body, one on one ... was the most defining feature of her business. The resultant logo can be viewed in a number of ways ... all of which capture Jodie’s signature statement.
When Diane Holbrook wanted something to make her unusually named ‘markets’ giftline business stand apart from all the other stalls, maverick created the vibrant & colourful imagery of a lazy frog environment. To enhance the whimsical nature of the branding, Diane thought a ‘saying’ about frogs would add a touch of interest. Unable to find something suitable, maverick created a verse to match the playful mood.
