2018 Children’s Benefit Gala Goes a Little Bit Country ETM honored country music executive and CMA Foundation Chairman Joe Galante. Country music legend Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn hosted the evening with performances by Randy Owen of ALABAMA, The Warren Brothers and ETM partner school students. Education Through Music celebrated its annual Children’s Benefit Gala on June 25th at Cipriani 42nd Street, honoring music industry executive, Joe Galante, for his remarkable impact on music education in New York City and at a national level. Galante told the packed room, “Our goal is to make sure that in this country every child gets access to quality music education.” The event helped to ensure that more children do get access, raising $800,000 to support ETM’s growing roster of schools and students. Kix Brooks, of CMA-award winning duo Brooks & Dunn, served as the event’s host and spoke on the importance of Continued on page 2
