Common Course Prerequisites Humanities
Business and Computer Science
English History Visual Arts
English 2 maths (generally SL Math = MCV4U and MHF4U) Maybe one science
Engineering English 2 sciences (Chemistry and Physics) 2 maths ( HL Math)
Biological Sciences English 2 sciences (Biology, Chemistry) – one university recommends Physics – there is a bridge program
Arts English -specific to the art that will be studied -portfolio required, specific work done and grade 12 courses completed

*summer school science– marked in OUAC as summer school, depends on student if this is a good choice HL/SL designation – sometimes has an impact on entrance and for advance credit in Ontario – HL designation matters for US and UK school acceptance **Please check einfo or specific university websites for exact admission information. Information changes frequently.
The University Application Process – Timing Ontario • All major volunteer work CAS projects done before end of Grade 11. • Spring and summer – work on supplementary writing – should be mostly done by end of summer. • References – only if needed – should give teachers two weeks’ notice • Applications are done in the fall of Grade 12. Canada • Fall and winter International • All completed by September (Grade 12) including prep tests
