The J. Pritchard Barnes Scholarship is named for the first REALTOR® and founder of the what was then named Sevier County Board of REALTORS® in 1967. This scholarship was created in 1987 and is given each year to one Senior from each public high school in Cocke and Sevier Counties who are attending college or technical/vocational schools. The Scholarship Committee had 66 applicants from the high schools in Sevier and Cocke Counties this year! Each student application is reviewed by the committee and selected based on a points system.
