This started as a small dream to pack 200 pencil pouches with a few school supplies and grew into a grand event including teacher supplies. 18 Elementary (K-8) teachers from Sevier and Cocke County applied for our annual teacher grants. All 18 of them will receive one of the teacher crates filled with teacher supplies, 10-11 pencil pouches filled with student supplies, a small snack bag, as wel as a $200 check to purchase items for their classrooms! Thank you to EVERYONE who purchased school supplies, donated money, came to help pack, and sponsored lunch! We couldn’t have done it without you, the REALTORS CARE COMMITTEE members and the Leadership of the Association! This became SO much more than I anticipated for a first time event. So much so, that we will be storing the extra supplies (some are being donated to a local charity) so we can do this again next year. And, next year, we want to do BACKPACKS!! We KNOW you will help!
