DISCOVERY PARK LEARNING RETREAT Arch 300 AB | December 2014 Rhino, V-ray, Photoshop, Illustrator, Pencil The premise of this assignment is to design a High school retreat in Discovery Park. The building is situated on the bluff of Discovery park. The focus of this building emphasizes the views one is able to experience from one space to another. This concept directs the design to create an appreciation for the current view and space one is in. The design of the building also highlights the relationship it has with the landscape.

GAS WORKS PARK ENVIRONMENTAL OUTLOOK Arch 211 AB | June 2014 Sketch-up, Photoshop, Illustrator, Handed Model The premise of this assignment is to design an observation tower that integrates environmental and site conditions. This design is placed near the top of Kite Hill of Gas Work’s Park because Kite Hill offers a slope that explores continuity of the ground well.

Intersection of volumes develop a linear circulation and explores the directionality of the wind. Due to the deliberate slope of Kite hill, the exterior draining of rain-water explores continuity in the opposite direction as one ascends.

Defining Interlocking of Spaces
ARTISTS SPACE IN BALLARD
The spaces in the Ballard building design for the 5 artists embrace the experience of kinesthesia that provokes a sense of movement through the elements of solid and void. In addition, color in the space is an additive factor in character, interlocking the spaces through the transition of analogous colors. There is kinetic quality and the movement of the human body based on the apertures and enclosure of the building.
Arch 301 AB | March 2015 Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, V-ray
The premise of this assignment is to design a building for the 5 artists to work at. In addition to intergrating a sense of color within the project to express ideas.
Buster Keaton in Action Buster Keaton in action
The spaces in the Ballard building embrace the experience of kinesthesia that provokes a sense of movement through the elements of solid and void. This kinesthesia aspect was inspired by old films, Buster Keaton. Buster Keaton generates a lot of action in his films. There’s a sense of comedy that intriques the viewer while the content is completely silent. The design expresses elegance through the interlocking of spaces. There’s an elegance to the transition of the spaces and the overall building. People are the elements to generating sound, movement of the body, and action through the spaces. In addition, there’s this kinetic energy through the forms of solid and void. This allows guidance that pulls the user through the transition of the spaces. The color in the space is an additive factor in character, interlocking the spaces through the transition of analagous colors. There is also that kinetic quality and movement of the human body based on the apertures and enclosure of the building.
