Jože Mihelič
GOOD MORNING Triglav national park
He comes from a reputed family of mountaineering enthusiasts. The mother and father were respected teachers at the Bohinj elementary school, popular also for their manifold cultural work in the region. Jože’s brother Tine was a top alpinist and an accomplished writer of mountain guides, but no less successful in publishing books describing his climbing adventures. Jože Mihelič’s home ground is the East Julian Alps. Having been their ardent admirer, and visitor, for more than half a century, he feels entirely at home there, or, in his own words, “has become part of them”. This book mirrors his profound personal attitude to this unique “dreamworld”, as Tom Longstaff used to call the Julian Alps.
