Distribution The 2012 edition will have its distribution increased to around 60,000 copies. The guide will be distributed in the UK at TNT’s various travel and other entertainment events. It will also be available at selected airports and hostels around London. The publication will also be distributed to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa through a number of travel agency outlets including STA Travel and Flight Centre. It will also be available in all Britbound information packs in Australia and to CPA Australia Members entering the UK. This years’ guide will also be distributed through 1st Contacts Kick Start pack and at the various events the company attend throughout the year. TNT will continue to add more distribution points and distributors throughout 2012.

Who Reads it? The TNT UK & Ireland Guide is an unrivalled product for anyone aged 18-34 who is moving or has moved to the UK or is travelling to the UK for an extended stay. The audience has predominantly been Antipodean and South African – however we are seeing an increase in a much more diverse audience make up which now includes; Americans, Canadians, Europeans and British travellers looking for tips and advice on living and travelling around the UK

mobile phones Get one as soon as you get off the plane. You’ll need it. Smartphones (iPhones or Android phones) are great if you can afford them. Most phone providers offer a heavily subsidised device if you sign up to a contract. These are generally for 18 or 24 months and can be as little as £30 a month. That’s a great deal to have mobile internet, a camera, all your music, and, usually, a video camera all in one, wherever you go.

Smartphones will prove very handy in London The other huge advantage to smartphones is that they will come with a GPS – perfect for when you’re lost in London. If you don’t care that much, bring your phone from home, have it
