â–ŒBACKGROUND
& LOCATION
The restaurant is located in the north of the Zhuyuan Hotel and enjoy the scenery of the lake.With the huge change of campus planning of 2010,it becocomes isolated and many people are reluctant to go there.Therefore,the new relationship between the restaurant and the environment should be established.

In 2000,the Zhuyuan Hotel and the site was located in the living area where had a peaceful environment. At that time,the site and hotel was the favourite spot of the lake among the citizens.

However,during 2000-2010,the layout of campus experienced a great change.In 2010,the site was divided from the living area and became a isolated island being surrounded by new building of teaching area.

What does people say?
I have no idea there is a lake behind our hotel.The garden between the hotel and restaurant is a huge mess,it makes me feel awful when I close to the windows to enjoy scenery.
I am a junior in college now,I have heard of the Zhuyuan Restaurant but do not k n o w t h e e x a c t position,cause I have never been there! The scenery of that lake is not attractive,so I hardly walk around this lake.
We are retired teachers living in the Teachers' Residental District. We perfer to walk around and chat with friends in the Wetland Park but never go to the lake just next to our apartments.The Zhuyuan restaurant seems to have few and few people to go there.

The restaurant is situated in the lakeside where it can have a wide horizen. Also,customers can have a view of the landmark building of SCAU.
The main interface is on the north which is opposite to the direction of off-campus customers toward the restaurant.It is difficult for them to find the entrances.

The lake can keep the restaurant away from the noise.
The roof of the restaurant is full of rubbish and pipelines.Ruining the great scenery of the lake when the hotel guests look down.

the original way to enter the building
create public area in front of the building and make it more closer to the lake surface
open the roof space of the restaurant to the hotel guests and separate courtyard of hotel from the roof space by vegetation and trees
connect the roof space to the ground and the restaurant creating more shared space

▌BACKGROUND ANALYSIS
The site is located in the Luogang district,Guangzhou.It covers 104330m² area and has an excellent natural scenery.A lake is nearby on the northwest and surrounding by mountain on the south.

▌DESCRIPTION OF DESIGN
This project is aimed to redesign the small WETLAND PARK in campus where is surrounded by several important structures,and also should have a well consideration of the adjustment of CAMPUS PLANNING in this region.

Conclusion: Apparently,most students live in campus are reluctant to spent their leisure time in wetland park because it is crowded with passerby and inhabitants.It is after this analysis and research that we pay more attention about balance the need of different group of people.

â–ŒPROBLEMS
ROAD A main road divides the site into two parts, blocking the connection of the north and the south.
HARD GROUND The current wetland park is lack of hard ground,forcing the people playing on the grass.
ENTRANCE The entrance is the only gate toward the outside.This area is always crowded with passerby and inhabitants.
Water The water in wetland nowaday is stagnant.It is not conductive to the growth of aquatic plants and unfavourable to human activities.
Private space The wetland park is lack of private space.It is hard for people to settle down to talk in a chaos environment.
Revetment Hard revetment can be found everywhere next to the path in the north.Unattractive revetment keep people away from the nature.

Cancel the main road in the middle of the site for better connection of each landscape node.Second,set up a loop of main road to separate the teaching,administration area from living area.
To ensure the center teaching and administration area is out of the disturbtion of market and mall,the common service area is moved to the outside of the loop and replaced by exhibition function.
Rerange the huaman flow of off campus by setting up several landscape node and a new entrance in the southeast.Create street space for the human flow on campus.

▌WETLAND SYSTEM The target of rebuild the system of wetland is to refrensh the water in pond and perserve the diversity of animals and plants.Most importantly, we consider this wetland park as a education site of nature for people.

Conclusion: After the camparison of three type of space,I find out that triangle space is good for leading the eye into the highlight space.What' more,it can also be a viewing platform with longer border facing the scenery which is able to creat more point of view. 29
