SEPT 3 – Sept First Friday. Head to Downtown Lakeland on the first Friday of every month for First Friday; new theme each month. Downtown shops and restaurants will be open late. Enjoy goodies, giveaways, and discounts from local business exhibitors. SEPT 5 – Old Man Frank’s 2021
Labor Day Regatta. Come by boat, canoe, paddleboard or other personal watercrafts. Enjoy live music and fun on the water. SEPT 9 – Lakeland food Truck Rally.
Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally brings food trucks to Munn Park on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Come on out to Downtown Lakeland and enjoy a variety of Florida food trucks and their delicious cuisine. 20 plus food trucks come together each month and park on the streets surrounding beautiful Munn Park. SEPT 21 – Tasty Tuesday.
Third Tuesday of every month. 10 tastes from downtown bars, restaurants and sweet shops. New offerings every month. Tasty Tuesdays are a super fun way to experience multiple Downtown restaurants all in one night! You get hearty sample sizes with each ticket, and move from place to place at your own pace! SEPT 25 – Fire on the Lake Chili
Cook-Off. This is a fun filled family weekend. Chili Cook Teams will compete in an International Chili Society (ICS) sanctioned event in the following categories: Traditional Red, Homestyle, Verde Chili, Salsa, People’s Choice Chili. A craft show will also begin at noon. General Admission is free for people who attend, and $20 for People’s Choice – Chili Tasting. Cook Teams: $25 per category. Hosted by Main Street Winter Haven. Presented by Victor Smith Law Group. Over 40 Florida Craft and German beers! Local Florida breweries will be joining in on the fun and pouring their signature and Oktoberfest style beers. Come hungry! OCT 23 – Lake Ashton Veterans Association Auxiliary Annual Craft
Fair. Event to benefit Habitat for Humanity, Tiny Homes for low income Veterans. Vendors include: on site crocheted or knitted stuffed toys, on site custom designed shirts, homemade chocolates, local honey, pet portraits plus a variety of unique arts and craft items. OCT 23 & 24 – 45th Annual Lake Wales Pioneer
Days. Old-fashioned fun for the whole family. The festival honors pioneers from the past and presents an annual recognition award to a notable resident of historical contributions to the community during the festival with community organizations, antique tractors and cars, live music and entertainment, festival food, beer & wine. Families can also enjoy the Pumpkin Patch with pumpkins for sale, fall craft stations, old-fashioned games, a corn crib, hay piles, photo station, and face painting. One of the most beloved musicals of all time! In Austria, 1938, an exuberant young governess brings music and joy back to a broken family, only to face danger and intrigue as the Nazis gain power. The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household.
